Q	Need for SAGE type organization in Philadelphia

I live in Philly and am a geriatric social worker. I see that in general, the LGBT older adult population is often ignored. I am thrilled that there's an organization in NYC, and I saw recently that one was started in St. Louis. I was wondering if anyone has tried to start an organization in Philadelphia? thank you

Hi, Give a call to SAGE in NYC (212 741-2247) and ask that question. Have you also gone to any of the local websites to get this information? I agree that the older population is ignored. This is one of the reasons that SAGE has received funding to develop a national resource center on elder, LGBT issues. Imagine the day when you can directly access a resource center on this question and get support and contacts for developing an organization if there is not one in your local! Harold
