I work at a non-profit assisted living in Brookline, MA. I have called the local homecare agencies for a gay male caregiver for an elderly resident. Unfortunately, not one responded to help. Can you guys?

Dear EM, I both been away and had a hand injury which meant no typing. Hunt and peck does not work well for me. So I finally am getting to your email which actually can best be handled by calling SAGE directly (212 741-2247) and posing your question. Have you called any of the local lgbt organizations and the Boston Center? It does not surprise me that the homecare agencies could not help you--it only shows the work that still needs to be done by SAGE. You can also call the Boston AARP office and ask them. They should be aware of what our community can offer for services for lgbt seniors. Most likely they will refer you to the community center but it does apprise them of the need. I hope you have had a response by the time you get this delayed response. Harold
